Pentre Awel is a once in a generation project bringing together business, research, education, community healthcare and modern leisure facilities all at one prime location along the Llanelli coastline.
Pentre Awel is the first development of its scope and size in Wales providing medical research and health care delivery, as well as supporting and encouraging people to lead active and healthy lives.
Hywel Dda University Health Board is working in partnership on the transformative Pentre Awel development, led by Carmarthenshire County Council. As part of this development, Hywel Dda’s Clinical Delivery Unit (CDU) will be providing a range of therapy, nursing, and audiology clinics, as well as research and development opportunities.
Services available at Pentre Awel will include:
Hydrotherapy
Physiotherapy
Phlebotomy (Blood test service)
Speech and Language Therapy (SALT)
Audiology
Dietetics
Rheumatology
Podiatry
Lymphedema
Sleep and Ventilatory Failure
Clinical Musculoskeletal Assessment and Treatment Service (CMATS)
This period of engagement will take place from 28 February to 11 April 2025. Patients and members of the wider community can have their say by:
Attending a drop-in event on Thursday 3 April 2025, Lleidi Suite, Selwyn Samuel Centre, rear of Leisure Centre, Park Crescent, Llanelli SA15 3AE - please drop-in to see us any time between 10am and 1pm OR 3pm and 6pm.
By questionnaire: you can hand it back to a member of our team if you are completing it during an appointment with the service or post it to FREEPOST HYWEL DDA HEALTH BOARD
Please also complete the equality monitoring questionnaire included, as this helps us make sure that we are gathering views from all parts of the community. Both questionnaires are anonymous. Please feedback your views by Friday 11 April 2025.
