We’re inviting our patients and stakeholders to have your say on our proposal to relocate from our current location on Morfa Lane to Parc Dewi Sant, Jobswell Road, Carmarthen (SA31 3HB).

The move will enable our practice to enhance the services we provide our patients and better meet the needs of the growing local population.

Our current location presents us with significant challenges. The new location will address these by offering increased space for clinical and administrative work, improved accessibility with full disabled access, and convenient free car parking facilities.

We also hope the new facility will create opportunities to attract new GP partners, become a training practice, and expand services to accommodate the health needs of the growing population in Carmarthen.

  • Survey - Relocation of Morfa Lane Surgery, Carmarthen

    Morfa Lane Surgery has approached the Health Board to potentially relocate from 2 Morfa Lane, Carmarthen SA31 3AX to Building 8, St Davids Park, Jobswell Road, Carmarthen, SA31 3HB. The distance from the current surgery location to the proposed new location is 1.1 miles, or about four minutes’ travel time by car. 

    The practice is a single-handed practice located on a busy road with no car parking facilities. The building is best described as a townhouse on several floors, with small waiting room, clinical and administrative space to undertake General Medical Services contractual work. The practice wish to relocate to new premises in order to improve and develop services for their patients by:  

    1. Increasing clinical and administrative space
    2. Attracting new GP Partners 
    3. Becoming a training practice that will help recruit and retain staff 
    4. Increasing the number of enhanced services to patients 
    5. Providing car parking facilities
    6. Providing better access for patients including full disabled access.
